What is TMSET?

Tamarack Mountain Sports Education Team (TMSET) is a youth alpine ski team. Tamarack resort provides a beautiful environment that is in a family-friendly municipality which includes ski-in properties for families. Tamarack Mountain is the only resort the West Central Idaho Mountains that provides both man-made and natural terrain for alpine ski training. Tamarack Mountain has a variety of terrain which provides alpine racers a great training opportunity. TMSET is the only ski club in the West Central Idaho Mountains which caters to youth in both traditional and non-traditional schools by providing daytime training on weekdays.

Our Mission

The mission of TMSET is to encourage healthy development of the whole athlete.

The aims are to encourage excellence in academics, athleticism, and social development through professional snow sports training and competition.

Our Vision

TMSET will train youth in the skills of alpine skiing so that they will be able to compete at a level that allows them to reach their full potential as they develop through childhood to use these skills into adulthood for participation in life-long sports activities.

TMSET's Purpose

To educate

To facilitate education that encourages life-long fitness, participation, and excellence in mountain sports serving youth in Valley County, Idaho and the greater Northwest region.

To encourage

To encourage local and regional youth to actively participate in education related to academics, athleticism, and social development through providing mountain sports training and competition for amateur athletes.

To provide

To provide financial support to local, regional, and under-served athletes to participate in educational and sports-related activities, and to provide funding to hire professional coaches to foster the development of the whole athlete.

To receive contributions

To receive contributions from charitable individuals and corporations to distribute to youth for participation in TMSET educational and sports-related activities.

To undertake

To undertake charitable, literary, educational or scientific activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended from time to time, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt under such Section 501(c)(3)

To exercise by law

To exercise all powers granted by law necessary and proper to carry out the foregoing purposes, including, but not limited to, the power to accept donations of money, property, whether real or personal, or any other things of value.
